Zecurion Releases DLP 8.0 Solution with Behavioral Analysis Module (UBA) and an enhanced Web Interface

One of the major enhancements in the Zecurion DLP version 8.0 is the integration of behavioral analysis (UBA) module. UBA uses a specially designed algorithm to analyze the actions of employees: variations in using usual modes of communication channels, any exemplary incidents, and violation of security policies. The system automatically identifies and showcases any suspicious and erratic activity of users. Zecurion UBA helps DLP system officers to effectively weed out the internal threats in the early stages itself. Say, for example, when insiders are just beginning to stage the theft of sensitive information or an employee has actively sent corporate data outside the corporate’s network.  This solution creates profiles of employees’ behavior based on their history of incidents in the past. The solution checks for deviations for each employee from this profile in live mode. If it detects a sudden burst for that employee it allows security teams to place the user under additional control as quickly as possible.  This actionable risk ratings help security teams to detect, respond and contain a user threat in a timely manner.

The other major enhancement in version 8.0 is the updated web interface across all Zecurion DLP modules. This feature has significantly increased the usage of the console. The Zecurion reports under the Report Management tool are now more efficiently organized in the archives, optimizing the work flow in the interface.

This tool will be very useful and advantageous for large IS departments where every step of incident process is regulated. The dashboard on the Zecurion Reports can be easily customized using the array of widgets, filters, and time limits etc. as per the organization’s requirements. Now, with the 8.0 version, various new formats like pdf., excel, tsv can be used in the Reporting tool. The results of Zecurion 8.0 pilot implementation show that the security officers save an average of 20 – 35% of the incident processing time in comparison to the earlier 6.0 and 7.0 versions.

A lot of emphasis has been laid on the improvement of the performance of the Zecurion DLP 8.0. The new system works with minimal delays even with thousands of incidents being loaded every day for analysis. The output is outstanding reaching new levels of stopping data loss. This has been made possible by the enhanced architectural features. In this current version, not only Microsoft SQL Server has been used but software such as PostgreSQL DBMS has been used as well to code.
