Zecurion Unveils Next Generation DLP Version 13 with Enhanced Features for Advanced Data Security

Zecurion, a vendor of Next Generation Data Loss Prevention (DLP), is excited to announce the launch of version 13 of its flagship software. This latest update not only introduces innovative features but also enhances existing core components to strengthen data protection and management capabilities.

Core components of Zecurion Next Generation DLP:

  • Traffic Control: Monitors network traffic and manages data flow across over 100 services to minimize data loss risks.
  • Device Control: Ensures access limitations while facilitating legitimate usage for granular data protection.
  • Discovery: Identifies improperly stored sensitive data across local drives, shared folders, and databases to proactively prevent data loss.
  • Staff Control: Monitors employee activities and assesses productivity levels, including an enhanced user activity report.
  • User Behavior Analytics: Evaluates employee activities using indicators and emotional profiling to identify potential threats.

Notable new features in this version include Password Cracking for Encrypted Archives, which allows security officers to apply decryption methods on detected encrypted files using a customizable internal dictionary. This capability aids organizations in managing sensitive data more effectively and mitigating the risks associated with encrypted information.

Version 13 also enhances Online/Offline Policies, enabling the endpoint agent to detect domain network availability and enforce specific policies based on network status. New system reactions within these policies allow for the execution of attached scripts or the launch of specific applications when conditions are met. Additionally, the system can initiate new tasks within the Incident Response Plan (IRP) module and set file access rights to deny permissions at the file Access Control List (ACL) level, enhancing organizational control over data usage.

A significant new feature is Application, Software, and Hardware Control. This capability reduces the risk of employees using potentially harmful applications (such as TOR, torrent clients, anonymizers, and games) by allowing organizations to manage application access effectively. Administrators can establish whitelists and blacklists of applications for specific users or groups, regulating what can be utilized. Additionally, DLP agent enhancements enable the detection and monitoring of changes in the list of installed software on PCs, as well as any modifications to their hardware configurations.

Another notable addition is Microphone and Webcam Recording, transforming any PC into a surveillance system. This feature enables real-time recording from a computer's microphone or webcam, now including the ability to generate a workspace screenshot or webcam shot when the active desktop application is switched. This ensures comprehensive oversight of employee interactions with sensitive data.

Version 13 also introduces a new Endpoint DLP Agent Suspending Mode, allowing users to pause the operations of the endpoint agent upon request, pending approval from a security officer, providing flexibility while ensuring that security protocols remain effective.

Additionally, QR Content Analysis is now available, allowing organizations to detect embedded QR codes in documents. This enhances security by analyzing the content of QR codes to ensure compliance with data protection policies.

The update features improved Detection of Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) connections and advanced data classification techniques, including blank forms fingerprinting and SHA-256 binary file fingerprinting for tracking and managing sensitive data effectively.

"We are proud to launch version 13 of our Next Generation DLP, which not only refines our core capabilities but also introduces innovative features that address current and future data security challenges. This version empowers organizations to protect their sensitive information in an increasingly complex digital environment.”

stated Alexey Raevsky, CEO at Zecurion.
