Zecurion, a developer of data loss prevention and data security software, has signed an agreement with Prasoft IT Services Pvt. Ltd. appointing the company an Authorized Reseller of its full product line in India. Hyderabad-based integrator will market, deploy and support the complete Zecurion data protection portfolio.

At its core is Zecurion Next Generation DLP, which controls the movement of sensitive information through email, web, messengers, cloud storage and removable media, locates confidential data stored across the corporate network, and applies analytics and risk-based assessment to highlight potential data security risks at an early stage. It is complemented by Zecurion DCAP, which provides audit, control and protection of data at every stage of the file lifecycle, as well as data security posture management and data classification capabilities, Zecurion Screen Photo Detector, and a cloud-delivered DLP as a Service option for customers who prefer not to maintain their own infrastructure.

For Indian organizations the timing is significant. With the Digital Personal Data Protection Act and its implementing Rules now in force alongside CERT-In requirements and sector-specific regulation, companies are expected to know where personal and confidential data resides and to demonstrate that it is properly protected. Zecurion addresses both tasks within a single platform.

Prasoft works with organizations in banking and finance, manufacturing, healthcare, IT and ITES, education, retail and the public sector. Under the agreement, the company will provide consulting, deployment and licensing for Zecurion customers in close cooperation with Zecurion's regional team in India.
