Zecurion Unveils DCAP at IDC Security Summit 2024 in Istanbul

Zecurion, one of the leading providers of Next Generation Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solution, will introduce its latest product, Data-Centric Audit and Protection (DCAP), at the IDC Security Summit 2024 in Istanbul. Themed “Resilient Security: Evolving Strategies for 2024,” the event brings together industry experts to discuss the rapidly evolving cybersecurity landscape.

As cyber threats grow more sophisticated, compounded by a cybersecurity talent shortage, organizations face unprecedented challenges. Zecurion’s DCAP equips Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) with real-time visibility into data usage, offering robust protection against arising dangers. With the shift to cloud computing and IT process automation expanding vulnerabilities, DCAP strengthens organizational defenses by auditing and controlling critical data within networks.

Protection from Within: A New Approach

DCAP provides a comprehensive inner-perimeter defense, monitoring everything from employee workstations to shared network drives (NAS, SAN) and email servers like Microsoft Exchange. It identifies actual file owners, tracks usage, and detects shadow copies of sensitive information.

“We're taking cybersecurity back to the core – data creation. From the moment a user creates a file, it may be copied, edited, shared, or deleted countless times. With DCAP, cybersecurity officers will have a full, detailed view of the file lifecycle, all through a single interface. Our system highlights anomalies and deviations early, ensuring prompt intervention,

said Alexey Raevsky, CEO and Co-founder of Zecurion.

DCAP centralizes file and event tracking across multiple systems, offering over 10 advanced data classification technologies. The solution detects shadow data, integrates with Active Directory for detailed user access management, and automates anomaly detection to alert security teams of deviations from normal behavior. If incidents occur, DCAP delivers forensic-quality evidence to support investigations.

Zecurion’s DCAP gathers data from file servers, local PCs, shared folders, and Exchange servers. It processes and classifies this information, identifying threats and anomalies. The system responds by blocking access or launching investigations, providing detailed reports on data movement, user rights, and security events.

DCAP utilizes several advanced methods for data classification. Dictionary-based analysis flags sensitive terms, while pattern recognition using templates and regular expressions identifies structured data, such as credit card numbers. Digital fingerprinting matches documents based on similarity, and machine learning enhances classification by recognizing content patterns. Additional features, like AI-based image templates and Optical Character Recognition (OCR), identify structured documents and scanned data.

Zecurion’s DCAP integrates seamlessly with its Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solution, creating a powerful security ecosystem. DCAP offers data-centric approach to cybersecurity, supervising anything data-related, while DLP with its people-centric approach safeguards against insider threats and provides powerful forensic investigation tools. This synergy maximizes overall data security.

DCAP is a breakthrough in data protection. We go beyond traditional methods, using advanced algorithms and machine learning to track and respond to data changes in real time,

said Ivan Starodubtsev, Regional Business Development Director of Zecurion.
